Rookie card (RC)
A player's first cards after their Major League debut. Topps says most rookie cards carry a designation such as "RC" on the front or back, and they can come out the year of the debut or, in some cases, the year after. PSA's glossary puts it as a player's first year of cards, whether or not it is his rookie season.
